GTA 6 Characters: Lucia and Jason — Everything Confirmed

Here is everything officially confirmed so far — and what remains unconfirmed, clearly labeled.

Who are Lucia and Jason?

Lucia and Jason are the two playable characters featured in the official GTA VI trailers. Their dynamic — a couple caught up in crime in Leonida — is the core of the story Rockstar has shown so far. Neither character has been officially detailed by Rockstar beyond the trailers: no official biographies, ages or backstories have been published.

Why Lucia and Jason matter for search

"GTA 6 Lucia" and "GTA 6 Jason" are among the most searched GTA VI character queries, and they will explode further when the game launches November 19, 2026. This page will be updated as Rockstar confirms more details — before the launch demand wave arrives.

What we know about Vice City and Leonida

The trailers confirm GTA VI returns to Vice City, the fictional Miami-inspired city, inside the new state of Leonida. Rockstar has shown beaches, urban areas, swamps and rural Leonida landscapes. The map is the largest in the series according to reporting, but Rockstar has not published official map dimensions — see our GTA VI map hub for verified locations as they appear.

Update — September 13, 2026: Rockstar explains the new chapter structure

Rockstar's own Ultimate Edition description confirms GTA 6 tells Jason and Lucia's story in chapters, and Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson has explained why the pair are a couple, why two protagonists beat four, and how character switching is restricted during the story. Update — September 14, 2026: the first GTA 6 cast member is confirmed

Stephen Root has confirmed he voices Brian Heder, the drug runner who rents a property to Jason — the first GTA VI performer to confirm a role, and the character description published on Rockstar's own GTA VI website. It does not change who plays Jason or Lucia: those remain unconfirmed. Full breakdown: GTA 6's First Confirmed Cast Member.
