GTA 6: The Album Announced — 34 Tracks, Six Songs Out Now, Vinyl and CD Pre-Orders

CONFIRMED

**Rockstar Games officially announced *Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album* on September 17, 2026 — a 34-track official soundtrack album arriving November 19, the same day as the game. Six of those songs are already streaming, and vinyl and CD pre-orders opened the same day.**

The announcement arrived in a Newswire post titled "Announcing Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, Coming November 19", and it closes the loop on two weeks of noise: the coordinated artist artwork drop of September 15 that we covered as SPECULATION at the time is now CONFIRMED in writing, with names, credits and a release date.

What Rockstar actually announced

  • Name: *Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album*.
  • Length: 34 original tracks.
  • Partner: the album is described by Rockstar as "the upcoming official soundtrack album created in partnership with Atlantic Records".
  • Release date: November 19, 2026, launching alongside the game.
  • Streaming: available to pre-save on all major music streaming services.
  • Physical: pre-orders opened on September 17 on the official album store, in three configurations — Limited-Edition Vinyl, Standard Vinyl and CD.

Rockstar's own store copy describes the project as "34 original tracks that capture the electric energy of Grand Theft Auto VI's world of Vice City and Leonida", with a copyright line reading ℗ & © 2026 Atlantic Recording Corporation and Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

Note the framing: this is a companion album, not the in-game radio stations. Those are related but separate products, and Rockstar has said nothing about the latter here.

The first six songs — the full list

Six tracks went live on major streaming platforms on September 17, 2026:

  1. Yung Lean — "That's It" (feat. Future & Metro Boomin)
  2. Travis Scott — "RHYNO" (produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk)
  3. CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy — "Sexy Magic"
  4. Morgan Wallen — "Last Thing You Need"
  5. Rauw Alejandro — "Macacoa 2000"
  6. Keith Richards — "Bright Lights, Big City"

That is a deliberately wide spread — Atlanta rap, UK pop, Argentine alt-pop, French electronic, country and a Rolling Stone — which fits the Vice City/Leonida radio logic more than a single-genre score.

The remaining 28 tracks "will be revealed at a later date", according to *Consequence*, which published the partial tracklist at announcement.

The September 15 teases were real — here is what changed

On September 15 we covered a coordinated wave of artists posting GTA VI artwork within hours of each other, and we drew a hard line: the *posts* were CONFIRMED, the conclusion "these artists are on the soundtrack" was SPECULATION.

Two days later, Rockstar confirmed it. Names that sat under SPECULATION on that page — Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Future, PinkPantheress, Keith Richards, Fred again.., Rauw Alejandro — now have released tracks with credits. Two names that community trackers listed but nobody could verify, Yung Lean and Metro Boomin, are also confirmed, both credited on "That's It". CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso falls into the same bucket.

This is the cleanest example yet of how GTA VI's marketing is being run: artists drip-feed fragments, the press assembles "revealed" lists, and Rockstar then makes it official on its own schedule.

Vinyl, CD, and the resale problem that followed

The physical rollout moved fast, and predictably badly for anyone who blinked. According to *TheGamer* (September 18), the Limited-Edition Vinyl sold out within minutes of pre-orders going live and listings on eBay are now asking close to $400 — roughly four times the game's own $79.99 launch price. Store-exclusive variants (Walmart, Amazon) have also started appearing on resale sites.

The Standard Vinyl and CD are the practical options: both were still available at the time of writing. If you are buying for the music rather than the collectible, the standard vinyl is the sane pick — and the album is streaming on every major platform on release day anyway.

What we still don't know

Everything below stays UNKNOWN until Rockstar says otherwise:

  • Which tracks are on in-game radio versus the album. A companion album and a station tracklist are different things; nothing announced so far maps one onto the other.
  • The remaining 28 tracks and their credits.
  • Station names, DJs and the in-game tracklists — still unpublished, exactly as before this announcement.
  • Whether the album includes or is separate from any original score.
