GTA 6 Soundtrack and Radio Stations: Every Artist Teasing the Game So Far
SPECULATIONPublished 2026-09-15 · ⏱ 8 min
On September 15, 2026, a wave of major recording artists posted Grand Theft Auto VI artwork within hours of each other — Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Future, PinkPantheress, Keith Richards and others — and the press immediately framed it as the game's radio line-up being revealed. It is the biggest music story of the GTA VI run-in so far, and it is also the one where the gap between *what artists posted* and *what Rockstar has said* matters most. Here is the auditable version: the posts are fact, the interpretation is not, and we label each one.
What actually happened on September 15
The pattern was coordinated rather than organic: several artists published cropped pieces of GTA VI-style artwork at roughly the same time, on Instagram and X, each showing a fragment rather than a full key visual.
- Travis Scott posted an image in GTA VI's art style — a woman's feet in purple high heels wrapped around a pole — tagging Rockstar Games' official Instagram account, with the caption
MY RETURN TO GAME GOTTA COME WITH RAGE AND ALOT OF DANCING LETS RIDE, and teased "to be continued" (*Push Square*, *PlayStation LifeStyle*, September 15, 2026). - Morgan Wallen posted an image of poolside steps and sun loungers in the same unmistakable GTA VI art style (*Push Square*, *GameSpot*, September 15).
- Future posted the rear of a sports car in the same treatment, and PinkPantheress and Keith Richards are among the other names connected to the same rollout (*VICE*, September 15). *Push Square* also names Fred Again and Rauw Alejandro.
- Community trackers on r/GTA6 compiled a longer list, including images attributed to Metro Boomin, Yung Lean and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, among others — unverified, and treated as such below.
Labels: the posts themselves are CONFIRMED (they are public and dated). The conclusion "these artists are in GTA VI's soundtrack" is SPECULATION — a strongly signposted one, but not an announcement.
Why outlets called it a radio reveal — and where that stops
*VICE*'s headline was explicit: "GTA 6 Radio Artists Revealed". Its article states that Rockstar "allowed several major artists to reveal that they will be featured in GTA 6", which is the most official-sounding reading of the rollout.
Two things temper it, and both come from the same coverage:
- Rockstar has published nothing. No Newswire post, no tracklist, no station list. As of September 15, the studio's own channels carry no soundtrack announcement.
- Trade press is hedging in print. *GameSpot* still heads its list "all confirmed songs so far" — and says plainly that there is no confirmed list, only trailers, teases and leaks. *PlayStation LifeStyle* wrote that "this is all just speculation for now and should be taken with strong caution unless Rockstar confirms anything".
The context supports a real marketing push, though: Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick has said the company would market GTA VI differently from previous titles, leaning on social media — the Netflix Extended Look and this Instagram rollout are the two clearest examples, alongside the real-world Miami Beach campaign we covered on September 12, which Miami commissioners approved on September 14 (*Miami New Times*).
What is actually confirmed about GTA 6's music
Music already appears in GTA VI's *official* marketing, and that is the only ground we treat as solid:
- The Netflix Extended Look (August 27, 2026) features licensed tracks from Lil Wayne, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode and Phil Collins, among others (*Push Square*).
- Rockstar maintains an official GTA 6 playlist on Spotify, to which a Stevie Nicks track has been added (*GameSpot*).
- The game keeps the franchise's radio-station structure — the format Vice City and San Andreas built — but no station names, DJs or tracklists have been published (UNKNOWN).
Note the distinction that most coverage blurs: a song playing over a trailer is not the same as a song on an in-game station. Nothing in the September 15 rollout tells us which stations exist, how many there are, or whether the teased artists are on radio, on the score, or simply licensing a single track.
Artists who said something before September 15
The current wave did not come out of nowhere. The documented timeline (*GameSpot*, September 15):
- Travis Scott, July 2025 — his music video for "2000 Excursion" featured a car with the licence plate "GTA6 VI6", read at the time as a nod to the game (SPECULATION, no confirmation).
- T-Pain, January 2024 — said during a livestream that he had started working with Rockstar Games on GTA VI, and explained Rockstar had asked him to stop playing on the NoPixel roleplay server because of the conflict of interest. This is a first-hand claim by the artist (CONFIRMED as a statement; Rockstar has never acknowledged it).
- ScHoolboy Q, February 2024 — replied "Ima be on there, don't even trip" when a fan asked him to drop music for GTA VI radio.
- Panama — said in a since-deleted Instagram comment that "Back to Life", made with Poolside, would appear in GTA 6; the track later showed up in leaked material (LEAKED provenance).
- Skrilla — publicly said "Doot Doot" would be in the game.
- Freddie Gibbs — rumoured to be involved after an interview anecdote (SPECULATION).
- Megan Thee Stallion — a much-circulated theory built on a photo shoot that turned out to be a tequila advert. A useful reminder of how these threads resolve.
What to watch for next
The rollout pattern — artists drip-feeding fragments, press assembling "revealed" lists from them — is likely to continue until Take-Two decides it wants a clean reveal. Three things would move this from speculation to fact, in order of weight:
- A Rockstar Newswire or official social post naming stations, DJs or tracks.
- An official tracklist shipped with the game's marketing or the Ultimate Edition materials.
- The music itself, at launch on November 19, 2026.
Until then, treat every "GTA 6 soundtrack confirmed" list as a mix of two different things: tracks heard in official footage, and artists who posted artwork. We keep them separate here, and we will update this page as the list firms up.
Everything verified about the game's world lives on our interactive GTA 6 map; all sourced GTA VI coverage is on the news hub; the confirmed-feature baseline is in our GTA 6 confirmed features guide, and the cast picture — the one name an actor has confirmed himself — is in our GTA 6 characters guide.
Update — September 17, 2026: the album is official
Rockstar has now confirmed what this page treated as speculation. On September 17, 2026 the studio announced *Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album* — 34 original tracks made with Atlantic Records, releasing November 19, 2026, with the first six songs streaming now and vinyl and CD pre-orders open. Every artist teased here (Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Future, PinkPantheress, Keith Richards, Fred again.., Rauw Alejandro, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso) is now confirmed, along with Yung Lean and Metro Boomin. In-game station names, DJs and tracklists remain unannounced. Full breakdown: GTA 6: The Album announced.
FAQ
Is the GTA 6 soundtrack confirmed?
Not officially. Rockstar has never published a station list or tracklist. What is confirmed is the licensed music heard in official marketing, including tracks from Lil Wayne, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode and Phil Collins in the Netflix Extended Look, plus additions to Rockstar's official GTA 6 Spotify playlist.
Which artists teased GTA 6 on September 15, 2026?
Travis Scott (GTA-style artwork of high heels on a pole, tagging Rockstar Games), Morgan Wallen (poolside steps in the same art style), Future (rear of a sports car), with PinkPantheress, Keith Richards, Fred Again and Rauw Alejandro also named in coverage. Community trackers list more names, but those remain unverified.
Did Rockstar confirm Travis Scott is in GTA 6?
No. Travis Scott tagged Rockstar's official Instagram account and used a "return to game" tease, but Rockstar has not confirmed him — or any artist — for the soundtrack. In July 2025 he had already teased the game with a "GTA6 VI6" licence plate in his "2000 Excursion" video.
What songs are confirmed in GTA 6 so far?
Only tracks identifiable in official GTA VI footage and marketing — the Extended Look features Lil Wayne, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode and Phil Collins, and a Stevie Nicks track was added to Rockstar's official GTA 6 Spotify playlist. Additional titles circulating from leaks or deleted social posts are not confirmed.
When does GTA 6 release?
November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-order pricing and editions are covered in our preorder guide.
